Learning Outcomes

  • Conduct comprehensive primary and secondary surveys of casualties using systematic assessment techniques
  • Perform high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children, and infants following current international guidelines
  • Demonstrate proper use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and understand when and how to apply them safely
  • Control severe bleeding using appropriate pressure points, bandaging techniques, and wound management procedures
  • Recognize and manage shock, including identification of different types and implementation of appropriate treatment protocols
  • Provide effective first aid for common workplace injuries including burns, fractures, sprains, and strains
  • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies such as heart attacks, strokes, seizures, and diabetic emergencies
