Module 1 – ISO 45001 Fundamentals
- Context of the organisation, leadership engagement, and worker participation.
- Planning requirements, risk & opportunity management, legal compliance, and objectives.
- Operational planning, contractor management, emergency preparedness, and performance evaluation.
Module 2 – Audit Programme Management
- ISO 19011 principles, auditor competencies, impartiality, and ethical conduct.
- Preparing audit plans, checklists, and sampling strategies based on risk.
- Team roles, opening/closing meetings, and maintaining audit records.
Module 3 – Conducting the Audit
- Interview techniques, evidence gathering, site inspection best practice, and note-taking.
- Evaluating hazard controls, hierarchy of controls, and change management.
- Assessing contractor oversight, incident investigations, and continual improvement processes.
Module 4 – Reporting & Follow-up
- Writing clear, objective nonconformity statements with supporting evidence.
- Grading findings, agreeing corrective action plans, and verifying effectiveness.
- Root-cause analysis workshops using Highwave case scenarios.
Module 5 – Certification Pathways & Exam Prep
- CQI/IRCA and Exemplar Global recognition requirements and application tips.

Duration & Assessment +
Delivered over five days (40 contact hours) with pre-course reading. Assessment includes:
- Continuous evaluation of participation in workshops and role-plays.

- Final written examination covering ISO 45001 requirements and ISO 19011 techniques.
Certification +
- Meets the auditor training requirements for CQI/IRCA OHSMS Lead Auditor (PR315) or Exemplar Global AU/TL/OH competencies.
